Spring Chant
By Kathryn Liebowitz

Oh, let April keep her cup
and March her amber gown.
Let this late-widowed crone

acquaint us, too, of what they prize.
And sing—
And do not hurry, dear,
but sing this Ariel sprite
into being.
Bring her
into light by singing—
